I was in a pretty bad place the other day, and I didn’t feel like I could climb out of my own negativity. Most of us have been there at one time or another, and sometimes, we reach a point where we don’t feel like we can continue on; where we just want to give up and let the world come crashing down around us.
This is how I felt, and I didn’t feel motivated to write, post to the blog or do any of the things I usually do, which made the situation a lot worse because I feel somewhat of an obligation to do those things. They’re part of my mission, after all.
After wallowing in my self-created negativity for what felt like hours, the realization finally hit that we have to stay strong – especially when we face so much negativity that we don’t feel like we can get back up.
We have to have inner strength, because without it, the difficulties we face each day will easily bring us down and keep us from shining our light.
I’ve written about inner strength before, but I haven’t realized how important it is until now. Without it, the trials we face each day could easily keep us from doing the things we’ve come to this world to do, and together with love, it’ll help us get through the difficult and confining issues we face.
One of the things I was upset about was that I tend to feel overwhelmed.
We all have responsibilities and things we have to do each day, and I reached a point where I didn’t feel like I could do it all anymore. I’m not saying I have the hardest responsibilities in the world, but the diligence that’s required can be hard to live up to if I don’t stay open-minded and keep my fire lit.
If our fire isn’t lit and we can’t feel the inner love that helps us with the responsibilities we face each day, we won’t keep up with them with any degree of enthusiasm.
I’m also learning about the benefits of opening up and becoming a conduit for the universe. I tend to write about myself and the things I’m going through along this wild evolutionary journey, but as we’ve learned from a few different spiritual teachers, the “I” can be our ultimate source of misery.
If we constantly think about ourselves or what we can do to keep ourselves happy, as opposed to simply existing and embodying our latent Christ consciousness, we’ll be miserable until we realize that we aren’t meant to think endlessly about ourselves – we’re meant to let Source express itself through us and come along for the ride.
In a lot of ways, I feel like that’s what I’ve been doing this whole time. Channeling was the first kind of spiritual work I ever did, and while I don’t channel as directly as I did before, I still strive to be a conduit for spirit and let my creativity and expressiveness flow in a way that’s influenced by a higher source.
Some people don’t think any form of channeling or intuitive communication is legitimate, but we can’t let others determine our path. If we want to follow our dreams, whether they have to do with channeling or anything else, we can’t let anything stop us – including ourselves or others.
I don’t know about any of you, but I have so many different interests and passions that I tend to go back and forth from each one. I honestly can’t keep up! There are some days that I choose writing and music as my primary means of creativity and self-expression, and other days, I embrace intuitive communication.
There are some days when I don’t want to do any of it, including blogging, and I’d rather hide away from the world than explore these creative connections. This is where strength and the ability to flow no matter what we face comes in, and denying our creativity in favor of whatever negative situation or emotion we face is destructive.
Along with embodying love and strength, I’m realizing that I want to stay open and let the spirit express itself through me with everything I do. I want to cultivate a truly conscious, enlightened lifestyle that embraces love and openness over the spiritually destructive qualities we’re all familiar with, and I want to open up and let Source work through me.
I’m willing to give up whatever sense of individualism I once had to consistently express a higher aspect of my consciousness, but it requires a lot of dedication and commitment.
Commitment is another important quality that’ll help us stay true to ourselves and our creative work, and as long as we’re dedicated to our work, our every action will reflect this dedication and our work will inspire others to ask themselves what they can do to uplift the rest of the world.
We’re here to bring awareness and enlightenment to a planet of people who seem to have lost both qualities, but we have to stay relatively aware and ‘enlightened’ ourselves before we can help others. It’s easier said than done, but if you think about it, it only has to be as difficult as we let it be.
We’re in the driver’s seat and we have the choice as to what we do and don’t get done on this world, and we can try to rigidly work and produce things that come straight from the mind and ego, or we can stay open, receptive and willing to convey the expressions we receive from the higher aspects of our consciousness who want to help us.
It’s our choice, and while I’ve been unsure about pretty much everything lately, I think I know what choice I want to make. Hopefully, some of you can say the same.

I’m a twenty-one year old writer, blogger, and channel for the creative expression of the Universe, and I created The Culture of Awareness daily news site.
The Culture of Awareness features daily spiritual and alternative news, articles I’ve written, and more. Its purpose is to awaken and uplift by providing material about the fall of the planetary elite and a new paradigm of unity and spirituality.
I’ve contributed to a few different spiritual websites including The Master Shift, Waking Times, Golden Age of Gaia, Wake Up World and Expanded Consciousness. I can also be found on Facebook (Wes Annac and The Culture of Awareness) and Twitter, and I write a paid weekly newsletter that you can subscribe to for $11.11 a month here.
