An intuitive message by Wes Annac, The Culture of Awareness
The ‘voice within’ is just that – an inner voice that you can connect with and receive advice, guidance and general assistance from along your developing spiritual path. You can call your inner voice whatever you want, and the most popular label it’s usually given is the ‘higher self’.
It doesn’t matter what you call this voice that constantly assists you, nor does it matter how your refer to the numerous spiritual guides you each have at your disposal, who wait for any opportunity to help you along your difficult but necessary evolution back into the higher states of consciousness you seek to anchor onto earth.
The biggest factor that stops people from connecting with their inner voice is the unwillingness to believe that any sort of ‘higher self’ or spiritual guides exist or seek to help them along the spiritual path. We do exist and we do want to help you, but we’d never force our assistance onto anyone – especially those who are unwilling to believe in it.
There are so many different forms and flavors of spirituality, and you’re encouraged to find whichever one works for you and embrace it.
Some people embrace forms of spirituality that have nothing to do with communicating with their inner voice (or ‘higher self’, which, if it hasn’t been expressed enough, are one and the same), their spiritual guides or any other entity who wants to help you understand yourselves and your existence in a greater way.
Your Choice Entirely
The paths some seekers choose don’t require them to believe in these ideas, but you don’t have to take those paths if they don’t resonate with you. The path you take back into the higher realms is your choice entirely, and nobody can choose your path for you or make you feel like you should choose a certain path. It simply doesn’t work like that.
Try to fathom the idea that no matter what path you take, it will lead you back into an expanded state of consciousness and awareness if you’re dedicated enough to work hard and genuinely explore your greater perception.
It doesn’t matter what you believe or what philosophy helps you reconnect with your essence – if it works for you, feel free to wholeheartedly embrace it. In embracing it, you might make the way clearer for others to embrace it when they’re ready.
Some people inhibit themselves by choosing a certain path simply because it’s popular or they think they can gain recognition from others who are on the same path (or a similar one).
Instead of allowing their evolutionary journey to be intimately personal with choices they make for themselves that they can be secure with, some seekers choose paths that are common or popular simply because they want to fit in with a certain crowd.
This is no way to genuinely explore your consciousness or spiritually evolve, and you have to take the paths that work best for you; the paths you know you can use to enlighten yourselves and others.
If you choose a certain path simply because you want to be liked or recognized by others, you’ll keep yourselves from the higher consciousness you seek and you’ll eventually have to ask yourselves why you can’t find any greater spiritual awareness.
In most cases, it’s because you haven’t chosen the path that helps you refine your consciousness and understand the spiritual nature of your existence in an effective way, and you have to choose the path that’s best for you, regardless of what others might say or think, if you want to get the most out of your spiritual evolution.
Some paths require you to sacrifice your ego, but you’ll have to accept this if the path resonates enough with you. The worst thing you can do is base your spiritual evolution on what others say or think of you, and you’ll continue to meet brick walls that you won’t understand why you can’t surpass if you take this route.
There’s so much you can be aware of right now and so much you can be doing, but when the mind’s closed and the ego is in control, you inhibit yourselves from doing all of the amazing, spiritually inspired things you’re capable of.
Channeling: Some Believe, Some Don’t
Take channeling, for example. Some people resonate wholeheartedly with the idea that you can communicate with entities in higher states of consciousness, while others choose to localize this connection to their inner voice and a select few spiritual guides.
Others are completely unwilling to humor this concept in any way, and if they do humor it, they express extreme, almost overbearing discernment to the point that they can’t get anything real or genuine out of it because they’re just too unwilling to believe it could possibly be real.
The mind’s constant need for verification has stopped a lot of seekers from doing a lot of great things, and you’ll have to let it go if you want to traverse any path with any degree of ease or success. Most paths require you to completely transcend your ego or the rigid parts of your mind that keep you from making any progress, and for good reason.
The mind will do everything in its power to feed the void between you and the greater aspects of your consciousness that wait to be known and understood, and you’ll have to transcend its overbearing influence if you want to use it the way it’s meant to be used – as an open receiver of the energy and inspiration spirit constantly provides.
Being open to certain paths or philosophies only requires the willingness not to give in to the cries from the mind that it’s all hogwash, and your perspective plays a big role in it all.
Your thoughts create your existence, and if you’re unwilling to believe you can achieve certain things or you’re unwilling to believe certain philosophies have any basis in reality, you’ll create that reality for yourselves and your experiences will reflect the beliefs you’ve chosen to take on.
The more you can transcend the ego’s need for approval and verification, and the more you can simply exist in your flowing, spiritually endowed space, the more the mind’s influence will fade as you’re left with the flowing creativity of the heart.
All you have to do is continue to diligently explore your consciousness and know that you’re receiving a lot more assistance than you realize.
With this knowledge will come an increasing desire to let all of the overthinking and all of the attempts to fit in with others go as it’s all replaced with the desire to quietly and calmly yet actively explore your consciousness and bring others into a refined understanding of themselves, the world around them and the infinite creation you have yet to really explore.
We’d highly recommend those of you who are interested in connecting with your higher selves and spiritual guides try the connection on for size, because you’re capable of making connections that the rational mind would chastise you for but the intuitive mind would celebrate.
You can immerse yourselves in pure bliss if you’re willing to communicate with your intuition, your higher selves, spiritual guides, etc. for long periods of time, and meditation will enhance this connection as long as you’re willing to stay dedicated to it.
Be Daring and Adventurous
Commitment, dedication and every other quality that leads you to embrace the things you’ve come to earth to do will help you increase the quality of the material you present and the willingness you present it with, and those who are meant to be led to your work will naturally find it in their own ways and their own time.
Those who don’t resonate with your work aren’t required to read it, and as long as you’re willing to lay your ego down in the name of exploring your consciousness and presenting spiritually inspired work that uplifts everyone who finds their way to it, the opinions of others won’t matter as much as the greater perception your work enables you to find.
Many of you are starting to find the greater perception that comes with putting yourselves out there in a way that you could be condemned for, and your spiritual work (and your spiritual evolution) means little if you aren’t willing to be a little daring and adventurous with it.
Let yourselves be daring in this new time, and don’t let the opinions of others stop you from shining your light in the exact way you’ve come to shine it.
As we’ve said so much before, self-empowerment will always be an important part of your spiritual evolution, and if you stop letting other people’s opinions keep you from being who you are, you’ll liberate yourselves and finally find the way back home.
